Yahuza Umar Labbo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the upcoming local government election in Kirikasamma, Jigawa State, has passed away.

His death, at the age of 55, was confirmed by the state party chairman, Aminu Gumel.

Labbo reportedly died after a brief illness. He is survived by three wives and fifteen children.

Governor Umar Namadi expressed his condolences to the family and the entire Muslim community, praying for Almighty Allah to grant Labbo eternal rest and to give his family the strength to bear the loss.

The Jigawa State Local Government election is scheduled to take place on October 5, 2024.
