Ex-Nigeria International, Victor Moses, netted his first goal for the club in their 3-1 defeat to Plymouth Argyle in the EFL Championship.

The 33-year-old, who recently joined Rob Edwards’ side on a free transfer from Spartak Moscow, started the match on the bench for the third time in a row.

Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth took an early lead in the 8th minute when Rami Al-Hajj finished off a well-executed move inside the Luton Town box.

Moses came in as a substitute in the 58th minute, replacing the injured Mads Andersen as Luton sought to boost their attack. Despite several close efforts, including three shots from Elijah Adebayo that were saved by Plymouth’s Daniel Grimshaw, Luton struggled to find the equalizer.

Plymouth doubled their lead in the 69th minute, with Ibrahim Cissoko delivering a left-footed strike. Two minutes later, Moses pulled one back for Luton, chesting down a cross from Alfie Doughty before coolly slotting the ball into the bottom corner.

Moses nearly turned provider moments later, sending a cross for Joe Taylor, but the goal was ruled offside. Plymouth sealed their victory in stoppage time, with Cissoko scoring his second of the match to secure all three points.

Luton Town will now look ahead to their next fixture, where they will host Oxford United as they continue their push for promotion.
