Popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, is currently in detention at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Alagbon, Lagos.
A police source confirmed that Bobrisky was held overnight in a cell after being arrested by the Nigeria Immigration Service while attempting to leave the country through the Seme border.
The source explained that Bobrisky was brought to the FCID for safekeeping, pending further instructions. “He is here for now, and we are awaiting further directives regarding his case,” the source added.
Bobrisky was reportedly handed over to the FCID around 10 p.m. on Monday after being intercepted at the border by immigration officials. FCID spokesperson Aminat Mayegun confirmed his detention, stating that a remand order was being processed to keep him in custody.
A statement from Nigeria Immigration Service spokesperson Kenneth Udo described Bobrisky as a “person of interest” over recent public concerns. The statement further noted that Bobrisky is undergoing interrogation and will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action.
