Tensions have escalated in Iju Ishaga, Lagos State, following the gang-related killing of a man known as “Solution,” a high-ranking member of the Aye confraternity.

The attack, reportedly carried out by suspected members of the rival Eiye group, occurred on Sunday night shortly after Solution’s pregnant wife had left the area.

Local sources close to the Aye confraternity described Solution as a peaceful figure within the community. Residents noted that the area had been calm in recent months until this incident, which they attributed to a shift in leadership within the Eiye group, fueling concerns of renewed gang clashes.

Following the incident, members of the Aye confraternity issued warnings of possible retaliation, raising fears of potential unrest and violence.
