On Monday, President Bola Tinubu formally swore in seven newly appointed ministers during a ceremony held in the council chamber at Aso Rock Villa. The ministers took the oath of office in two rounds, with four ministers sworn in initially, followed by three more. State House Director of Information, Abiodun Oladunjoye, introduced each appointee by reading their citations.
The new ministers are expected to assume their roles immediately, aiming to advance the administration’s strategic goals across various sectors.
The newly appointed ministers and their portfolios include:
- Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda – Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction
- Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi – Labour & Employment
- Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu – State, Foreign Affairs
- Dr. Jumoke Oduwole – Industry, Trade, and Investment
- Idi Mukhtar Maiha – Livestock Development
- Yusuf Abdullahi Ata – State, Housing and Urban Development
- Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad – State, Education
With their appointments, these ministers bring expertise to their respective ministries and are tasked with supporting the administration’s vision for national development.
