Retirees of Chevron Nig Ltd on Tuesday stormed the headquarters of the multi-national oil company in Lagos, in protest against what they termed “grievances”.

The retirees who were spotted carrying placards with different inscriptions such as “We say no to dissolution of CNCPFA”, “Chevron stop discrimination against retirees”, “Nigeria is a sovereign nation: respect our laws above your policies”, “Chevron, treat us like other IOCs. Be considerate for once!”, and others, took turns to relay their unapproved delay in payment of their pensions, among others.

They also derided outsourcing of their pension fund, demanding that the IOC explain to them whether it had divested from the country or not.
