The agreements focus on fostering green growth and improving access to climate finance, including the creation of a dedicated climate finance unit. In a prior meeting with the UK Minister, President Hichilema emphasized the long-standing partnership between Zambia and the UK, expressing Zambia’s readiness to collaborate on addressing climate change, which has exacerbated energy and food insecurity in various regions of the country.

Minister Dodds praised Zambia’s efforts to revitalize its economy and reaffirmed the UK’s commitment to partnering with Zambia in building a sustainable and resilient economy for the future.
