A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted activist Olamide Thomas a N10 million bail following charges of cyberbullying and making harmful social media comments about Seyi Tinubu. The court, presided by Judge Emeka Nwite, also required Thomas to provide a surety for the same amount.

The judge ruled there was no substantial evidence to suggest Thomas would flee or disrupt the trial. In addition to the bail, the surety must submit an affidavit of means, provide a three-year tax clearance certificate, and reside within the court’s jurisdiction. Both Thomas and the surety are required to deposit recent passport photographs with the court registrar and verify the surety’s address.
