Zambia has kicked off 2025 by expanding its visa-exempt list to include 53 additional countries.
This move brings the total number of countries that can enter Zambia without a visa to 167, aiming to boost tourism and trade.
The Zambian government sees this visa waiver as a crucial step in diversifying the country’s economy and attracting international visitors.
By reducing barriers to entry, the government hopes to increase tourist numbers and create new opportunities for trade and investment.
Some of the countries added to the visa waiver list include Albania, Argentina, Bhutan, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Israel, Iceland, Laos, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Monaco, Morocco, Switzerland, Turkey, and Ukraine.
This list is a continuation of the Zambian government’s efforts to make the nation a key player in the global economy, following a similar visa waiver for 43 countries in 2022.
