Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has arrived in Davos, Switzerland, to represent the country at the 2025 annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF).

The workshop aims to drive capital flows into Africa to support inclusive development and resilience across the continent.

A key highlight of the Vice President’s participation is the launch of the Humanitarian and Resilience Investing (HRI) Roadmap for Africa, a collaborative effort between the AfDB and other partners.

Shettima’s attendance at the WEF meeting is expected to provide a platform for Nigeria to engage with global leaders, business executives, and development partners to discuss pressing global and economic challenges and identify strategies for sustainable growth.

During his stay in Davos, the Vice President will also attend other sessions, including a dinner for heads of state, government, and international organizations, as well as a forum on “Turning Digital Trade into a Catalyst for Growth in Africa”.
