During his visit, President Kagame is expected to hold high-level talks with President Erdogan, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations, regional, and global issues.

The two leaders have previously interacted at various international events, laying the groundwork for this historic visit.

Rwanda and Türkiye have been fostering a strong partnership, with 21 cooperation agreements signed in areas such as culture, science, technology, and innovation.

Turkish companies have played a crucial role in several key infrastructure projects in Rwanda, including the Kigali Convention Centre and the renovation of Amahoro Stadium.

President Kagame has expressed satisfaction with the significant increase in bilateral trade, aiming to reach an annual trade volume of one billion US dollars.

Rwanda’s exports to Türkiye have grown substantially, from US$31 million in 2019 to US$178 million in 2022, reflecting the deepening economic ties.
