President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Ikye Orikpo as the new Chairman of the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital.
This announcement was made in a statement on Friday by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
Dr. Orikpo, who hails from Delta State, is among the recently announced board chairpersons appointed by the President.
In addition, Onanuga clarified some updates regarding earlier appointments.
“Hon. Duro Meseko from Kogi State is the Chairman of the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute. What initially appeared to be a duplication has now been corrected,” the statement noted.
The presidential adviser also confirmed that Hon. Yahaya Bello Wurno from Sokoto State—not Ambassador Wurno—has been appointed as Chairman of the Sokoto-Rima River Basin Development Authority.
