In a groundbreaking move to enhance youth development, the Lagos State Youth Parliament, led by Rt. Hon. Itunuoluwa Maria Soniregun, engaged in a strategic meeting with Mr. Frank Eggmann, the Consul General of Switzerland in Lagos to establish impactful partnerships aimed at unlocking opportunities for young people across the State.

During the meeting, the Parliament representatives shared significant updates on the Parliament’s progress in advocating for youth-centric policies and initiatives, explored potential collaboration on key areas such as capacity-building training, youth cultural exchange programs, educational advancement and scholarships, and vocational education training, and also conveyed the Parliament deep appreciation for the Consul General’s commitment to fostering meaningful cooperation.

The Consul General, in his remarks, lauded the impactful strides of the Lagos State Youth Parliament and expressed a strong commitment to supporting initiatives that equip young people with the necessary skills and opportunities for success. He emphasized the importance of youth engagement in strengthening diplomatic ties and fostering sustainable development in the State and also pledged his commitment to facilitate knowledge transfer, skills acquisition, and exposure to global opportunities.
