A group of armed men attacked Elyon Paradise Ministry Church in Asagba Ogwashi, Delta State, during a Friday night vigil, leaving a trail of violence and terror.

The pastor, Apostle Divine Omodia, was severely injured, with two of his fingers brutally severed, and six worshippers were abducted and taken to an undisclosed location.

According to eyewitnesses, the assailants shot the pastor and fled with the six congregants. The pastor was rushed to the hospital, where doctors are fighting to save his life.

As of Sunday, there had been no communication from the abductors regarding their demands or the condition of the victims.

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident and stated that a dedicated rescue team has been deployed to locate and rescue the kidnapped individuals.

The team is actively combing the nearby forest in an effort to track down the abductors.
