Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) leaders, Remo Stars, regained their momentum with a solid 2-0 victory over Heartland FC in Ikenne on Sunday, maintaining their eight-point lead at the top of the table.

Midfielder Olamilekan Adedayo and new signing Samson Olasupo found the back of the net to secure the crucial win, following their 2-1 setback against Bendel Insurance in the previous round.
Remo Stars started strong, creating early chances through Fabian Nworie, Sodiq Ismail, and Franck Mawuena. The breakthrough came in the 31st minute when Adedayo fired a low shot into the bottom right corner after an assist from Mawuena.
Despite being denied a goal earlier, Togolese striker Mawuena continued to push forward. In the 80th minute, second-half substitute Olasupo sealed the victory with a well-placed header from a Tochukwu Michael cross—his second goal in three games.

The defeat leaves Heartland, led by former Nigerian international Emmanuel Amuneke, in 17th place, just one point above the relegation zone.
