The Egyptian State Information Service (SIS) has strongly refuted claims circulating on social media and news websites that Egypt is providing military assistance to Israel.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the SIS dismissed these allegations as baseless, accusing the sources of being “detached from reality” and deliberately ignoring Egypt’s unwavering support for Gaza since the onset of the war.

The SIS emphasized that Egypt has played a key role in rallying both Arab and international opposition to any attempts to displace Palestinians from Gaza, reinforcing its commitment to the Palestinian cause. This stance, it noted, has made Egypt a target of disinformation campaigns led by Israeli officials and media outlets.

Highlighting its humanitarian efforts, the SIS stated that Egypt has supplied over 75 percent of the total aid received by Gaza, opened its healthcare facilities to treat the wounded and sick, and engaged in continuous diplomatic efforts to end the conflict since day one of the aggression.

Egypt, the statement added, remains committed to advocating for an independent Palestinian state and has persistently worked toward bridging internal Palestinian divisions.

Reaffirming its long-standing principles, the SIS concluded that Egypt stands firmly on the side of justice, rejecting aggression and occupation—values it has upheld for eight decades, regardless of the sacrifices involved.
