A devastating assault by Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on the Zamzam Camp for displaced people near al-Fasher has left hundreds dead or wounded, with aid groups describing it as “a war crime and crime against humanity”.

The attack, which began on Thursday and continued through Saturday, destroyed homes, markets, and healthcare facilities, with the majority of victims being women and children.
