The draw, held ahead of the tournament scheduled to take place later this year in Côte d’Ivoire, sets the stage for another exciting edition of Africa’s premier women’s basketball competition.

AfroBasket 2025 Full Group Draw:

  • Group A: Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Angola
  • Group B: Mali, Cameroon, South Sudan
  • Group C: Senegal, Uganda, Guinea
  • Group D: Nigeria, Mozambique, Rwanda

D’Tigress, Africa’s top-ranked women’s basketball team, head into the tournament as four-time back-to-back champions (2017, 2019, 2021, 2023) and six-time overall winners. Their dominance on the continent is unmatched, but the road to another title will not be easy.

Group D presents a stern test, with Mozambique and Rwanda both showing impressive progress in recent years. Both teams are eager to challenge Nigeria’s supremacy and make deep runs of their own in the tournament.

As anticipation builds, D’Tigress remain focused on their mission: to extend their winning legacy and reaffirm their status as the queens of African basketball.
