The trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), continued at the Federal High Court in Abuja, with the prosecution tendering key exhibits linking Kanu to acts of terrorism.

A prosecution witness, code-named BBB, testified about a petition allegedly authored by former Attorney General Abubakar Malami, accusing Kanu of terrorism, murder, and incitement to violence against Nigerian security agencies.

The court admitted the petition, Kanu’s written statement to the DSS, and a flash drive containing his broadcasts as evidence.

The broadcasts included videos and audio recordings where Kanu allegedly urged followers to attack police and military personnel, seize their guns, and burn government buildings.

Despite objections from the defense team, the court admitted the evidence, which the prosecution claims demonstrates Kanu’s role in inciting violence and threatening national security.
