Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah has unveiled Enugu Air, a state-owned airline, describing it as a giant leap for the state and a gold standard for government-private sector partnership.
The inaugural flight took off on Monday, marking a historic moment for ‘Ndi Enugu’.
Mbah said the achievement aligns with his administration’s vision of transforming Enugu into a premier destination for investment, living, and tourism in Nigeria.
The governor emphasized that Enugu Air represents a bold step in creating the right enablers for enterprise and opening up sectors that once felt out of reach.
Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo clarified that the Enugu airport is not being sold but concessioned to private investors, which will boost economic activities in the region.
