President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to attend the eighth-day prayer for the late Awujale of Ijebu, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, who passed away on July 13 at the age of 91.
The President will leave Abuja on Sunday for Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, where the prayer ceremony will hold at the Dipo Dina International Stadium.
The event is expected to draw traditional rulers, political leaders, business executives, and religious figures from across Nigeria and beyond.
Tinubu will be joined by Governor Dapo Abiodun and other dignitaries at the solemn event.
The late Awujale was a revered traditional ruler who ruled for an unprecedented 65 years and was one of Nigeria’s longest-serving traditional rulers.
He was known for his progressive leadership and contributions to national affairs.
Tinubu had earlier paid a condolence visit to Kano, where he sympathized with the family of late elder statesman, Alh. Aminu Dantata.
