Nigeria’s Super Falcons have returned home to a warm reception after clinching their 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title in Morocco.

The African champions touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at approximately 2:26 p.m. on Monday, aboard a chartered flight arranged to bring the victorious squad home.
In a powerful moment upon arrival, team captain Rasheedat Ajibade emerged from the aircraft proudly holding the WAFCON trophy aloft—symbolising Nigeria’s historic achievement and the team’s triumphant return.
The Falcons defeated hosts Morocco 3–2 in a thrilling final in Rabat on Saturday to secure the record-extending title, further cementing their dominance in African women’s football.
