National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu has announced a significant reduction in Boko Haram attacks, banditry, and communal conflicts in Northern Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

According to Ribadu, the number of incidents has drastically decreased compared to the previous administration, with notable improvements attributed to the president’s unified security approach directive.

In the previous administration, Kaduna State recorded 1,192 killings and over 3,348 kidnappings, while Benue State lost over 5,000 lives.

However, since Tinubu took office, security forces have rescued 11,259 hostages, eliminated several bandit leaders, and neutralized over 13,543 Boko Haram fighters, with 124,408 fighters and their families surrendering.

Ribadu commended Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for his non-kinetic approach to addressing insecurity in troubled communities.
