The Peoples Democratic Party has announced a 110-member main organizing committee for its 2025 elective national convention, scheduled for November 15-16 in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
The committee, led by Hon Ahmadu Umaru as Chairman, Senator Ademola Jackson Adelere as Deputy Chairman, and Barrister Peter Mbah as Secretary, will oversee the convention’s preparations.
This development follows the party’s National Executive Committee’s decision to hold the convention in Ibadan, chosen for its strategic location in the South-West region, aimed at strengthening the party’s base.
PDP leaders consider this convention crucial ahead of the 2027 general elections, with internal contests for party leadership positions already intensifying.
