President Bola Ahmed Tinubu departed Yokohama, Japan, on Thursday night for an ultra-long-haul flight to Brazil, where he will begin a state visit on August 24.

The President will make a stopover in Los Angeles, United States, before continuing his journey to Brasilia, the Brazilian capital.

Tinubu had embarked on the two-nation trip on August 15, departing Abuja with his delegation. The team made a brief stop in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, before arriving in Yokohama on the morning of August 18.
While in Japan, the President attended the opening ceremony and plenary of the ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) on August 20.

He also held a series of bilateral meetings with world leaders and wrapped up his engagements with an interactive session with Nigerians in the diaspora on Thursday night.
