Kwara United head coach, Tunde Sanni, says he is confident his side—the Harmony Boys—will be ready for the challenge when they face Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup First Round tie at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, 21 September 2025.
Speaking after a preparatory friendly, Sanni stressed that his team has undergone the right level of technical and tactical preparation to handle the Porcupine Warriors.
“The game against Warri Wolves gave us a good insight into our readiness for the Kotoko clash,” Sanni explained. “We were put under a lot of pressure, and we survived it. If we can withstand Wolves’ intensity, then we can certainly hold our own in Ghana.”
The match will mark the first-ever continental meeting between Kwara United and Asante Kotoko. Sanni added that his players are determined to prove themselves on the African stage, insisting they have what it takes to compete toe-to-toe with their Ghanaian counterparts.
