Super Eagles stars Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and Kelechi Iheanacho were all on the scoresheet for their respective clubs on Saturday as the Nigerian trio continued their impressive starts to the new season.

Osimhen was instrumental as Turkish champions Galatasaray secured a 3-2 victory over Göztepe in the Super Lig.

Göztepe took an early lead through Miroshi in the 16th minute before Davinson Sánchez levelled for Galatasaray. Osimhen then turned provider, setting up Gabriel Sara to put the hosts ahead.
The Nigerian striker completed his contribution in the 63rd minute, calmly converting a penalty to make it 3-1 and take his tally to five goals this season.
Göztepe reduced the deficit late in the game, but Galatasaray held on to claim all three points and move to the top of the league table after three matches.
In Spain, Lookman also opened his account for Atlético Madrid, scoring in their 3-1 victory over Sevilla.

The Nigerian forward found the net in the 33rd minute after Álex Baena had given Atlético the lead.
Meanwhile, Iheanacho continued his excellent form in Turkey’s second division, scoring and providing an assist as Bursaspor defeated Kayserispor.
The forward has now been directly involved in six goals in four appearances for Bursaspor this season.

Iheanacho has scored in every match he has featured in this campaign, having previously found the net against Karagümrük and Igdir FK, while also registering an assist against Bodrum FK.
The impressive performances from the three Nigerians will provide encouragement for the Super Eagles ahead of their upcoming international engagements.
