Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement in principle to sign Senegal international Iliman Ndiaye from Everton, in a move expected to strengthen their attacking options.
The deal is subject to personal terms and a medical, with sources at both clubs confirming that the transfer is separate from Richarlison’s proposed return to Everton.
Ndiaye, 26, has emerged as one of Everton’s key attacking players since joining the club from Marseille in 2024 for £15m.
The Senegalese forward has made 73 appearances for Everton, scoring 17 goals and providing four assists. He also started the club’s first three matches of the current season and registered an assist in the opening-day 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace.
The move to Tottenham comes after Ndiaye declined several offers to extend his Everton contract, despite having three years remaining on his existing deal.
Tottenham turned to Ndiaye after missing out on Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo, who is reportedly in talks to join Manchester City.
Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi is expected to use Ndiaye as part of a revamped attacking line-up, with the Senegal international capable of operating on the wing or in more advanced positions.
Ndiaye’s arrival would reportedly become Tottenham’s ninth signing of the summer and further strengthen a squad that already includes Dominic Solanke, Mohammed Kudus, Mathys Tel, Omar Marmoush and Savio.
For Everton, the departure represents a significant loss, with Ndiaye having established himself as an important creative outlet and one of the team’s most effective players in one-on-one situations.
Everton are, however, set to bring former forward Richarlison back from Tottenham as part of their efforts to reshape their attack, although the two deals are not directly linked.
