Hundreds of people gathered at the Emmanuel Iwanyanwu International Conference Centre in Owerri to welcome President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Imo State.
The enthusiastic crowd, comprising men, women, youths, traditional rulers, and dignitaries, began streaming into the venue as early as 8 a.m. to catch a glimpse of the President.
Tinubu is set to commission four major projects: the EIICC, the refurbished Concorde Hotel, the twin flyover at Assumpta Cathedral Roundabout, and the Owerri-Mbaise-Umuahia road.
Security personnel worked tirelessly to manage the crowd, while major roads were closed to vehicular traffic, causing some inconvenience to commuters.
The President’s visit marks his latest engagement in the South-East, where he has emphasized the Federal Government’s commitment to infrastructure and regional development.
