Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has cautioned permanent secretaries who compromised their duties during the recent emergency rule in the state, warning that they will be held accountable for their actions.
Fubara emphasized that his administration values due process and urged the new permanent secretary, Austin Ezekiel-Hart, to uphold the principles that earned him his promotion.
Ezekiel-Hart’s appointment was based on merit, following his professionalism in the state civil service.
The governor also encouraged Ezekiel-Hart to speak out with evidence if pressured to act against civil service rules, assuring that his administration will prioritize actions over rhetoric.
