Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Wale Edun, has returned to Nigeria after a brief absence due to illness.
Edun was spotted at an official function in Abuja on Sunday, attending a meeting with a Qatari delegation at Fraser Suites.
He left the meeting after an hour, accompanied by Minister for Industry, Trade, and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole.
Edun’s return comes after reports of his hospitalization and subsequent treatment abroad.
The presidency had confirmed that Edun was indisposed, but maintained that there were no plans to replace him.
Last week, Edun was seen in high spirits at an art gallery booth in London, where he appeared to be recovering well.
