US Warns Americans in Tanzania to Shelter in Place Amid Election Violence

The US Embassy in Tanzania has advised American citizens in the country to remain in place due to outbreaks of violence and roadblocks following the general election, which was marred by violent demonstrations.

The warning comes a day after the election, which saw clashes between protesters and security forces.
