Reports of the death of former Anambra Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, have been debunked as false and mischievous.
His former Commissioner for Information, Mr. C. Don Adinuba, confirmed that Obiano is alive, hale and hearty, and currently residing in the United States.
Adinuba stated that he had personally spoken with Obiano, who is in good health, and urged the public to disregard the rumours.
The former governor is facing trial over alleged money laundering charges, and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been investigating his administration.
Obiano’s aide dismissed the reports as baseless and capable of causing unnecessary distress to the former governor’s family and associates.
