The Commissioner for Education and Human Development, Dr. Umar Pella, announced that all boarding schools will now operate as day schools until further notice.

This decision follows similar measures taken by other states, including Kwara, Plateau, Katsina, Niger, and Taraba, in response to rising insecurity.

The Federal Ministry of Education has not issued a nationwide school shutdown directive.
