He expressed gratitude for the opportunities given to him by the party, including his elections as Senator and Governor of Osun State.

The resignation comes after the Osun State PDP chairman, Sunday Bisi, announced that Adeleke would not be picking the party’s re-election ticket due to the leadership crisis.

The PDP had earlier suspended its governorship primaries, initially scheduled for December 2, 2025, citing the crisis.
