President Bola Tinubu has sworn in Aminu Yusuf as the new Chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC), alongside two commissioners, Joseph Haruna Kigbu and Tonga Betara Bularafa, and five permanent secretaries.
The ceremony took place during the first segment of the Federal Executive Council meeting.
Yusuf, from Niger State, was confirmed by the Senate on October 22, 2025, and takes over from Nasir Isa Kwara, who was appointed in 2020.
The Council of State had approved Yusuf’s appointment in October.
