Nyesom Wike, minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has stated that he won’t be pushed out of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by members who joined the party after him.
Speaking at a factional national executive committee (NEC) meeting, Wike said Bala Mohammed and Seyi Makinde joined the PDP long after he did, and therefore cannot drag him out.
Wike emphasized that he has been part of the PDP since its inception and has made sacrifices for the party.
He criticized the Kabiru Turaki-led NWC for violating court orders and holding an “illegal convention”.
Wike warned that such actions could endanger the PDP’s future and urged party members to rally behind lawful leadership and work to rebuild the party.
