Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) after receiving his membership card from the party’s state chairman, Tony Okocha.
Fubara completed the documentation process on Friday, a few days after announcing his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The ceremony was witnessed by Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, who was in the state for a project inauguration.
Fubara’s move is seen as a significant shift in Rivers State politics, with the APC now gaining a strong foothold in the region.
