Six Bangladeshi peacekeepers were killed and eight wounded in a drone attack on a United Nations base in Sudan’s disputed Abyei region.
The attack, carried out by separatist armed groups, targeted the Kadugali Logistics Base, a UN peacekeeping mission, on Saturday.
Bangladesh’s armed forces condemned the attack, and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed condolences to the families of the victims, stating that attacks on UN peacekeepers may constitute war crimes.
