A Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja will decide on the bail application of former Labour Minister Chris Ngige on December 18.
Ngige, who served under former President Muhammadu Buhari, was arraigned on an eight-count charge of alleged corrupt practices and pleaded not guilty.
His counsel, Patrick Ikwueto SAN, pleaded for bail on health grounds, citing Ngige’s lack of flight risk.
However, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) opposed the bail request, arguing Ngige was a flight risk, having failed to return from a medical trip abroad.
