President Bola Tinubu departed Lagos on Sunday for a private end-of-year trip to Europe before heading to the United Arab Emirates in January for an official engagement.
The President will attend the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2026 at the invitation of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Hosted by Masdar, the weeklong summit is a major annual event that brings together global leaders from government, business, and finance to accelerate sustainable development.
The 2026 edition, which runs from January 11-17, is themed “The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go,” and will challenge leaders to find solutions across interconnected sectors like energy, water, climate, and finance.
During the summit, President Tinubu is expected to highlight his administration’s reforms in areas such as energy, transportation, and economic development, while also engaging with UAE leadership to strengthen bilateral relations.
