British-Nigerian heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua was involved in a fatal road accident on Monday morning along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway in Makun, Ogun State, that resulted in two deaths.

The Lexus SUV carrying Joshua, who was part of a two-vehicle convoy, reportedly collided with a stationary truck just before the Sagamu Interchange.

Eyewitnesses stated that while Joshua sustained only minor injuries and was conscious after the crash, two other occupants of his vehicle died at the scene.

The boxer is reportedly in Nigeria on holiday following his recent victory over Jake Paul.
