Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has broken his silence following a tragic car accident in Nigeria, posting an emotional tribute to his two friends, Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele, who were killed in the crash.
On Sunday, Joshua shared a photo of himself with the families of his deceased friends, captioned simply, “My Brother’s Keeper ❤️️❤️.” The fatal accident occurred on December 29 on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway when the SUV they were traveling in collided with a stationary truck.
Joshua, who was in the vehicle, sustained a leg fracture but escaped more serious injury after coincidentally switching from the front passenger seat to the back just moments before the impact. He has since been released from the hospital and returned to the UK as his friends were laid to rest.
