Incumbent President Yoweri Museveni is leading in the election results, with over 75% of votes counted, while his main challenger Bobi Wine trails behind with around 21%.

The electoral commission announced that Museveni won 5.85 million votes (58.64%), while Wine secured 3.48 million votes (34.83%).

The election has been criticized for its lack of transparency, with allegations of ballot stuffing, voter intimidation, and internet shutdowns. Wine’s National Unity Platform (NUP) party has alleged mass fraud and called for protests.
