A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to Bauchi State Commissioner for Finance, Yakubu Adamu, and three civil servants accused of complicity in terrorism financing involving ₦400million.

Justice Mohammed Umar ordered each defendant to deposit ₦100million and produce two sureties, including a serving permanent secretary and a director in the civil service.

The defendants, who pleaded not guilty, are alleged to have funneled funds to Bello Bodejo, President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, and his associates. The prosecution claims the defendants knew the funds would be used for terrorism.

The court ruled that the prosecution failed to prove the defendants posed a flight risk, marking a departure from an earlier decision rejecting their bail application.

The case has been adjourned to March 26, 2026, for hearing.
