Sudan Army Breaks Paramilitary Siege on Kadugli

Sudan’s army chief, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, announced on Tuesday that government forces had broken a paramilitary siege on Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan state.

In a brief interview aired on state television, al-Burhan said, “I congratulate the Sudanese people on the opening of the road to Kadugli, and congratulations to our people in Kadugli on the arrival of the army.”
