As of 5:55 a.m. on Sunday, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had uploaded 2,602 out of the 2,822 polling unit results from Saturday’s chairmanship elections across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Data obtained from INEC’s Result Viewing Portal (IReV) showed that the uploads represented 92.2 per cent of the expected results across the six area councils.

The Municipal Area Council recorded 1,309 uploads out of 1,401 polling units, representing 93.43 per cent. Wards such as Wuse, Gwarinpa, Garki, City Centre and Kabusa recorded high submission rates, with most nearing full completion.

Gwagwalada Area Council posted the highest upload rate, with 330 of 338 polling unit results available on the portal — a 97.63 per cent completion rate. Several wards, including Gwagwalada Centre, Kutunku, Dobi and Zuba, recorded full uploads.

In Bwari Area Council, 463 of 485 results had been uploaded, representing 95.46 per cent. Many wards, including Bwari Central, Shere, Igu and Ushafa, achieved complete submissions, while others were close to full compliance.

Abaji Area Council also recorded strong performance, with 129 of 135 polling unit results uploaded, translating to 95.56 per cent.

However, Kwali and Kuje area councils trailed behind the others. Kwali had uploaded 164 of 201 results, representing 81.59 per cent, while Kuje posted the lowest rate with 207 of 262 results, amounting to 79.01 per cent. In Kuje, some wards such as Kabi had yet to upload any results at the time of review.

Overall, while most councils had surpassed the 90 per cent threshold by early Sunday, Kwali and Kuje lagged behind, with Kuje recording the slowest upload rate among the six area councils.
