Bola Tinubu has received a security briefing on the situation in Bauchi State following recent disturbances in parts of the state.
The briefing was delivered on Friday by the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, during a meeting with the President.

Speaking after the audience, Mohammed said he informed Tinubu about the growing threat posed by bandits in Alkaleri Local Government Area, stressing the need for urgent intervention to address the security challenges.
The governor also spoke on recent political developments, particularly the wave of defections from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). He acknowledged that governors have the constitutional right to join any political party of their choice.
However, Mohammed reaffirmed his commitment to the PDP, stating his intention to remain with the opposition party.
