Gunmen have abducted Mr. Francis Igwe, father of former Ebonyi State Deputy Governor, Dr. Kelechi Igwe.

Sources said the elderly man was kidnapped on Sunday morning while on his way to church in Ndufu-Alike community, Ikwo Local Government Area of the state.

He was reportedly driving when armed men on a motorcycle intercepted his vehicle, forced him out, and took him away to an unknown location.
