Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has sworn in five new commissioners, praising the state assembly’s “rigorous” screening process. The new commissioners are Tonye Bellgam, Temple Nwofor, Peters Nwagor, Lekue Kenneth, and Amairigha Edward Hart.
Fubara expressed confidence in their ability to contribute effectively to the state’s development agenda, saying the screening process demonstrated their competence and readiness for service.
He urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them and work diligently to accelerate development in the state.
The assembly had withheld confirmation of four nominees, citing discrepancies in their documents and poor performance during screening.
